Daily Schedule

Our day begins upon arrival of the first child and ends upon departure of the last child each day.  Children will be encouraged but never be focused to participate in any activity

6:30am Breakfast – Those children who arrive prior to 8:45am will be served breakfast.

9:00am Circle Time – Children will be given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences. During this time we will sing interactive songs, such as “The ABC,” “Wheels on the Bus” etc. We will discuss the day of the week, the month, the year, and the weather. One child will be chosen to mark each of the calendar components

9:45am Free Play – Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development.  If weather permits, we will go outside daily.

10:15am Group Activity Time – Children will participate in our morning activity.  This may involve arts & crafts, science & discovery, games, puzzles, etc.  Some days this will be a planned activity based on our current theme or skill focus.  Other days the children will be given materials to work on their own creations.  As we finish our activity, the children will move on to outside time.

11:00am Outside Activity

11:30am Lunch

12;00pm Hand wash – Children get ready for rest time.

12:15pm Special story time

12:30pm Rest time – All children are offered a short rest period.

1:30pm Nap/Quiet Play – Those children who have not fallen asleep by this time may play quietly.  There are books, puzzles and quiet games available for quiet time.

2:45pm Afternoon snack

3:15pm Circle Time – Afternoon circle time gives us a chance to say good-bye to friends.  Those children who were not present during the early morning are given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences.  During this time we will sing interactive songs and read a story and repeat portions of morning group activities.

4:00pm Free Play/Outside Time – Children will choose their own games and activities. There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development.  If weather permits we will go outside.

4:45pm Clean-Up Time / Hand Washing – Toys are put away, and hands and faces are freshened up for mom and dad to pick up.

5:00pm Children are offered a variety of toys to play with while we wait for parents to pick up.  Toys are to be put back before the child leaves for the day.

5:30pm Hand Washing / Evening Snack offered to remaining children.

6:00pm Hew Horizon Closed
